We made the most of the rain today with some shelter building, dinosaur water slides, and puddle splashing. We're lucky to have our outdoor classroom where we made apple hedgehog bird feeders and shared hot drinks and a story.

We kept busy at Forest School today - lots of running around to keep warm and a nice warm drink around the fire. We did some ice painting, made a train, identified some trees using twig ID, and lots and lots of play. We were visited by an inquisitive robin so we made some bird feeders too.

If your child is attending Forest School this week, please send clothes for extreme cold. Layers are really important and they can get changed into/ out of them at school. Please remember to label all their items. Thank you.

Whittling by the campfire and chatting to your mates - doesn't get much better than that! This was the first time introducing whittling to these children - they did a great job using the vegetable peelers and then used the acrylic pens to make some lovely festive creations. They were so engrossed in their work, a lovely mindful activity for the end of a busy term. We also played games on the field, fed the birds, and toasted marshmallows.

We had some fantastick stickmen and a beautiful stick lady love made by the children at Forest School today. Lots of play in the mud kitchen and some mud painting too. Balancing on the slackline, tree climbing, and hammock time with books and teddies. We explored some ice creations and we noticed that some of our conkers were beginning to sprout so we decided to bury one and see what happens...
