It's nearly the end of Pixies first term at school, but that doesn't mean we slow down! The children have been talking about 'gentle hands' in PSHE, not to mention working at their challenges, PE, maths...the list goes on! Congratulations on a great start to your time here with us at Digby, and enjoy your well deserved break! #happyhalfterm

Year 1 and 2 took great pride in their final art piece in the style of Andy Warhol. Using bright coloured water colours and a tracing technique that ALL the children absolutely loved! 🧑🎨🎨 #ks1art

💚 Forest School highlights from the last few weeks💚 The children collaborated in their den building, used tools to drill conkers and create conker creatures, played games together, got silly with sticks and cooked up a storm in the mud kitchen. We have been practicing our fire safety rules and have enjoyed toast and hot drinks on the campfire. Most of all, we've had fun with friends outside in nature. 💚🔥🌳

What a morning we had! Big thanks to Dunston St Peter's C of E Primary for lending us Mrs Parker who spoke all about her previous career as a dental nurse and showed all the children how important it is to take care of our gnashers! An extra special thank you to Lincoln Smile Centre and their delightful dental nurse Sophie for allowing the children to use some of your equipment AND supplying some mini toothpaste and stickers for all the children 🦷

💚 Week 2 Forest School 💚 It was a busy one! We took our inspiration from this week's book 'The Leaf Thief' with some leaf printing and sewing. We had plenty of team work in the mud kitchen and some impressive engineering with the guttering and pipes. We even made log dogs and walked them around on their leads!
