On Thursday we came to school to find our classroom chairs had gone on strike!! The children were challenged to write a letter to the chairs explaining how sorry we were, and how we would make sure they're tucked in next time we are able to sit on them! I was super proud of their independent writing! Great job!

Nocton School Summer Fete Update Due to the recent extreme weather, our School Fete has been postponed and will now take place on 7th July. Please note the raffle draw will also be held on this date, giving everyone a little extra time to get their tickets. We hope you can still join us for a fantastic afternoon of fun! Thank you for your understanding and your continued support. We look forward to seeing you there!

With the temperature planned to rise tomorrow, we would like to give the option of you being able to pick your child up early from 12pm. All afternoon absences will be authorised. We have found that school is becoming increasingly warm as the day progresses and would like to protect our school community. If you are planning to collect early, please either let staff know on the gate or via the office email address. Thank you for your support.

On Monday we celebrated World Oceans Day, where we learnt all about water pollution and the reasons we need to look after our environment. The children created a poster about how and why we need to look after our oceans, then followed instructions amazingly to create their fantastic crabs using their sketching and blending skills using pastels. Super proud

We harvested elder and used the tools to craft beads and make jewellery this week. We rolled down hills, invented games and solved mysteries. We cared for nature by collecting litter and spotting mini-beasts. Finally, we warmed up with hot chocolate and a story around the fire. we love Forest School

What a fantastic morning the Year 1s had at @premiereducationlincolnshire Multi-skills event. They showed incredible determination and resilience, working so hard in every activity ! To top off an amazing event, they brought home the silver medal - finishing in 2nd place we are so proud of you all. Well done!

Y3/4 finished their block of sessions with even more den building, some fire lighting, hapa zome (Japanese art of leaf bashing) and popping corn over the fire. They have been a lovely group to work with - team work, resilience and enthusiasm has been most impressive.

What a fantastic Pirate Day KS1 had today We learnt about the horrible hard tack biscuits Pirates ate, then we made our own - just without the creepy crawlies! We also created our own treasure map, which we later tea-stained, and gave our friends instructions using the directional language of North East South and West!

Year 5 & 6 enjoyed getting outdoors to hunt for invertebrates this afternoon, which they then drew annotated scientific sketches of before classifying them.

What a fantastic way to end SATs week! Our fabulous Year 6 children from across the federation came together for an afternoon of fun playing Quidditch, and what a brilliant afternoon it was!
