Such an emotional day saying goodbye to our incredible Year 6 children, but we wish them all the very best for their exciting next steps. When the Year 6s are away, the rest of us will.... Have a craft morning! From Pre-School to year 5, all the children have been creating memory trees with the leaves filled of their favourite things over this last year. It's been a lovely chance for the classes to work together and help each other out, and for their creativity to flourish!

Afterschool Club We had an extra special sweet treat in Afterschool School Club today. After noticing a few ripened strawberries in our garden the children just couldn't wait to pick them. We picked them gently off their plants, gave them a very good wash and then ate them. They were absolutely delicious. We talked about how plants grow and how yummy the food is so we had to make sure we watered all of the vegetables so we can enjoy even more treat next week

Fresh from the Garden Our schools gardening club worked extremely hard last term planting some delicious fruits and vegetables for all the children at school to enjoy. Fast forward a few months and this is the progress... We have carrots, peppers and onions that are growing increasingly bigger. Cucumbers that are thriving. Potatoes that are nearly ready for harvest. Tomatoes that are maturing, and if you look closely you may be able to spot a few in the flowers. And our strawberries, that are quite simply, delicious! Throughout gardening the children have learnt many skills, including, teamwork, responsibility and lots of patience. They have to ensure the plants get lots of sun but equally, lots of water (especially with the weather we are having at the moment ) The garden at school is blooming and we are so lucky to have the space to grow and learn in more ways than one giving children essential life skills that they can take from the garden and into everyday life.
