Dunston St. Peters Church of England Primary School
Dunston St Peter’s Church of England Primary School is set on the edge of the idyllic village of Dunston and adjoins open countryside. We cater for children from the ages of 4 to 11 in our four classes. Dunston was inspected by Ofsted in January 2017 and was graded as “Good” overall. You will find the report on the website. Dunston Primary is very proud to be a church school.
Our values of Success, Happiness, Inspiration, Nurture for everyone underpin everything that we do. We have very close links with Dunston St. Peter’s Church. In July 2017 we had a Church Schools (Section 48) inspection, and we were graded as “outstanding” in all areas. You will find the report on the website.
Dunston has both a Breakfast and an After School club, which both operate on the school site from 7.30 am and are run by school staff.
The school day begins at 8:50am and ends at 3:20pm. Gates open at 8:45am and registration is at 8.50 am. A total of 32.5 hours a week.
Please note:
The staff across the federation work very closely together, leadership for the federation sits across the 3 schools but each school retains its autonomy and uniqueness, responding to the needs of its own communities.
The Executive Headteacher for the Spires Federation, Miss D Winters, shares time between the 3 schools, focussing on developing the leadership and management of the schools, whilst the federation Deputy Headteacher and Senior Federation Lead, leads the school and oversees the day-to-day running of the school.
